Ethnic Unity One Family: Tianshan Snowlotus Connected at the Roots; Minority-Han Mixed-Marriage as One Family
August 20, 2020August 18 [2018], was a special day. Accompanied by festive music, the wedding caravan slowly entered the sight of people and held a “national unity” wedding of ethnic-Chinese intermarriage at the Gulizai Hayati restaurant located in the Hubin district.
In terms of the groom’s, Yang Xiaodong, and bride’s, Aytursun Memetyisan, story, Yang Xiaodong is a member of Aqto County’s Public Security Bureau’s Patrol Prevention and Control Brigade. He made acquaintances with a Uyghur fitness training named Aytursun Memetyisan at a fitness center. They worked out together, assisted each other, gradually became affectionate [towards each other], fell in love, and finally reaped the sweet fruit of their love and became husband and wife.
These days, Aqto County regularly holds trans-minzu, trans-regional minority-Han intermarriage weddings. One after another ethnic unity marriage evidences Aqto County’s ethnic unity as one family is becoming more amalgamated and society is becoming more and more happy and harmonious.
